Improving Efficiencies for Retail Agents
The Independent Agents & Brokers of America’s Agents Council for Technology (ACT), the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA) and the National Association of Professional, Surplus Lines Offices (NAPSLO) and ACORD formed a joint initiative to improve the efficiencies for Retail Agents (RAs) interacting with managing General Agents (GAs) and wholesale brokers in the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market and to promote the electronic exchange of data between the partners.
New! MGA/Wholesale Broker User Guide
The MGA and Wholesale Broker User Guide for Policy Downloads to Retail Agents has been developed by the E&S Joint Working Group’s Retail Agent-GA Subgroup. The guide also reflects input received by the full E&S Joint Working Group. There is widespread agreement with the guide’s recommendations, particularly for the use of the GA’s National Producer Number (NPN) as the unique identifier for GAs and wholesalers in their policy information downloads. The Retail Agent-GA Subgroup is now working with vendors and GAs to develop appropriate strategies for implementation. Download the guide now.
